Men’s Tennis Sweeps La Salle on Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA— Temple men's tennis (12-6, 3-1 AAC) celebrated Senior Day on Thursday morning at the TU Pavilion, as the Owls downed La Salle, 7-0. The squad has now won seven straight matches.
Match Notes
> Temple earned the doubles point, as Alberto Caceres Casas/Mark Wallner, Eric Biscoveanu/Juan Araoz and Uladzimir Dorash/Paolo Cucalon picked up wins.
> Wallner and Dorash put the Owls up 3-0 with victories at second and first doubles, respectively.
> Dorash downed his opponent, 6-2, 6-3, in the No. 3 spot to clinch the contest for the Owls.
> Araoz and Biscoveanu continued the winning ways for Temple, coming out on top at fifth and fourth doubles to give the squad a 6-0 advantage.
> Francisco Bohorquez rounded out the sweep for the Owls, defeating his opponent 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 6 spot.

> "It was a great day for Temple tennis, as we had an opportunity to honor our graduating seniors," said head coach Steve Mauro. "I'm proud of the way they have performed and the effort that they have given all year. They are a great bunch of seniors and I'm sure that they will go on to do great things in the future."

> Temple will be back in action on Friday, April 12 as the Owls host Fairleigh Dickinson for their final home match of the season. The competition is set to begin at 10 a.m.
