Temple Teams Come Together for Athletes Helping Athletes "Fun Day"

PHILADELPHIA - It was truly a "Fun Day" for all on Sunday, April 14 as 70 Temple student-athletes were on hand to welcome 50 special needs athletes and their families to a year-end day of fun through the Athletes Helping Athletes organization.
Throughout the year, Athletes Helping Athletes hosts events at a number of different sporting events at Temple. To close out the school year, Temple Athletics hosts a "Fun Day" that welcomes all of the special needs athletes and their families to partake in all of the excitement. "Fun Day" consists of a day filled with athletic drills, prizes, and food. All participants get the chance to feel included and have a sense of achievement. Though the event is only for a few hours, "Fun Day" makes a long-lasting impact on both the special needs athletes and the Temple student-athletes.
