Lowell Named AAC Defensive Player of the Week; Rodzewich on Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - In the final American Athletic Conference weekly awards of the 2019 season, Temple lacrosse had two honorees as Maryn Lowell was named the AAC's Defensive Player of the Week and Jen Rodzewich was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll.
In an 11-6 win at Vanderbilt in the Owls' final game of the regular season, Lowell made a season-high 15 saves to help Temple earn the third seed in the conference tournament. Her save percentage of .423 ranks fifth in the league this season, as do her 7.00 saves per game. Lowell has recorded double-digit saves in four of the last six games. Â
Rodzewich, who has tallied at least one point in 11 straight games, led the Owls with a hat trick in the Vanderbilt win. She added two assists to her three goals for a season-high five total points.
Temple is getting set for the AAC Tournament and will face host Cincinnati at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 in the semifinals.
