PROVIDENCE, R.I. - With three American Athletic Conference First Team selections and five AAC Second Team honorees, Temple lacrosse set a record for postseason awards and had the most honorees of any team in the league. The Owls' previous best was six honorees, achieved in 2016 as a member of the Big East Conference.

Earning All-AAC First Team honors are juniors Maddie Gebert and Kara Nakrasius along with sophomore Bridget Whitaker. The Owls' All-AAC Second Team honorees are senior Amber Lambeth, juniors Maryn Lowell and Olivia Thompson, and sophomores Courtney Taylor and Jen Rodzewich.

Gebert, a 2019 Preseason All-AAC Team member and a 2018 All-Big East Second Team honoree also earned AAC Attacker of the Week selection twice this season. Gebert leads the Owls with 35 goals and has put up at least one goal in 14 of 16 contests. She has notched six hat tricks, including scoring a season-high five goals in the Owls' win at UConn.

Nakrasius, a defender who has started every single game in her career as an Owl, is one of the team's four captains and is serving in that role for a second year. She leads the team and ranks fourth in the AAC with 65 draw controls (4.06 per game), currently holding the third spot all-time in a single season at Temple.

Whitaker has started every game as a sophomore and leads the Owls with 17 assists, good for sixth in the league with 1.06 assists per game. She has also scored 15 goals and ranks second on the team with 32 total points. She has two five-point games this season, in wins at UMBC and UConn, and was twice named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll.

Lambeth has scored 15 goals and added eight assists for 23 total points this season, and ranks second on the team with 45 draw controls. She notched hat tricks in wins at UMBC and at UConn, adding an assist in the win over the Huskies for a season-high four points.

Recently posting a season-high 15 saves in a big win at Vanderbilt, Lowell was named the AAC Defensive Player of the Week. Her save percentage of .423 ranks fifth in the league, as do her 7.00 saves per game. Lowell has recorded double-digit saves in four of the last six games.

With 18 goals this season, Rodzewich is tied for third on the team, while her 17 caused turnovers also rank third. She has tallied at least one point in 11 straight games, scoring a goal in 10 of those contests. She has notched two hat tricks in the streak including a three-goal, two-assist performance in the Owls' recent win at Vanderbilt which earned her AAC Weekly Honor Roll mention.

Taylor leads the Owls with 26 caused turnovers and also has 41 ground ball to rank second only behind Lowell with 46. Taylor, a defender known for her speed, has elevated her level of play and has started every game this season after seeing action in only seven games as a freshman. She scored her first career goal for Temple in an early-season win at Rutgers.

Thompson has scored in nine straight games for Temple and ranks second on the team with 29 goals. She scored a career-high six goals in leading the Owls to a come-from-behind win at Rutgers early in the season, and scored five goals in an AAC win at UConn.

The Owls are the third seed in this week's AAC Tournament and will play host Cincinnati at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 in the semifinals.
