GRAND LAKE, Colo. -  For the 13th year in a row, Temple lacrosse has been recognized as an Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). In addition, rising seniors Maddie Gebert, Maryn Lowell and Julia Ryan were named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.

In order to be eligible for the individual honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

In order to qualify for the Zag/IWLCA Academic Honor Squad recognition, teams must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA. In all, 313 schools across Divisions I, II and III earned the honor.

Gebert, a supply chain management major, was also recently named the AAC Women's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year and to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team. Lowell, a philosophy major, was a Temple Trustee Ten honoree for a second year in a row for having one of the 10 highest GPAs among all Temple student-athletes. Ryan, an international business major, has been named to Temple's President's Honor Roll each of the last two years along with Gebert and Lowell.
