This Week
The Owls are 2-1 with one non-conference game remaining. Temple takes on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets as former head coach Geoff Collins makes his return to Philadelphia since taking the Georgia Tech position following an 8-4 regular season coaching the Owls last year. Kickoff is set for Saturday, September 28, at 3:30 p.m. ET and will air on CBS Sports Network, 97.5 The Fanatic, and WHIP Radio.

Last Week
Against Buffalo, the offense started off hot on the first drive of the game, but couldn't get much going until the game was out of reach in the fourth quarter. The Owls actually outgained the Bulls in total yards, 289-279 but costly turnovers proved to be the difference maker in the game.

The Owls began with all the momentum following an interception by CB Christian Braswell on the first drive of the game. With a short field, Temple was able to score first on a two-yard touchdown catch by WR Isaiah Wright. He finished the game with seven catches for 49-yards and the score. Buffalo was able to control the tempo of the game by establishing its run game. LB Shaun Bradley was assessed a targeting penalty in the second quarter and missed the remainder of the game.

Other than a field goal by Will Mobley at the end of the third quarter, the Owls couldn't get much offense going until late in the game. After a 51-yard kick return by Wright, Russo connected with WR Branden Mack for a 27-yard touchdown. They also connected for a 33-yard touchdown with two minutes left in the game to make the final score, 38-22. Mack finished the game with four catches for 72-yards and the two scores. WR Jadan Blue led all receivers with eight catches for 87 yards. The Owls were able to hold Buffalo to just 62 yards passing, the Owls weren't able to get to the quarterback or stop the run in order to force the Bulls into passing situations. LB Chapelle Russell led all tacklers with nine and one TFL. SAF Ayron Monroe had eight tackles and DT Dan Archibong had four tackles and the Owls only sack.

Up Next
Temple will travel to Greenville, N.C., for a Thursday night primetime matchup against ECU in the first American Athletic Conference game of the Rod Carey era. Kickoff is set for 8:00pm ET and will air on ESPN and 97.5 The Fanatic.

Did You Know?
Temple will host Georgia Tech this week led by former Owls' head coach Geoff Collins. It's the only time this season that an NFL or college team will face its former head coach from a season ago. Nine head coaches will face their former teams this season but all others are at least three seasons removed from their former teams.
