Women’s Soccer Opens Conference Slate Thursday against Cincinnati

PHILADELPHIA—Temple women's soccer (2-4-3, 0-0 AAC) returns home and begins American Athletic Conference play as it hosts Cincinnati (2-5-2, 0-0 AAC) on Thursday, Sept. 26. The conference clash between the Owls and the Bearcats is slated to kick off at 7 p.m. at the Temple Sports Complex.
Owl About Us
> The Cherry and White are led by head coach Seamus O'Connor, who is in his seventh season at the helm of the program.
> Temple is captained by junior Julia Dolan and seniors Morgan Basileo, Emily Keitel and Molly Tobin.
> Junior Emma Wilkins scored her second goal of the season and sophomore Hailey Gutowski tallied her second assist of the year on Sunday at Penn. Gutowski (2g, 2a) is now tied with Gabriela Johnson (2g, 2a) at the top of the Owls' offensive production list with six points each. Wilkins (2g, 1a) is close behind with five points.
> Basileo has been a constant in the net for Temple, logging 870 minutes through nine matches for the Owls. She has tallied double-digit saves twice this season (8/22 at Wake Forest, 9/12 at Maryland). The senior has a 0.819 save percentage and leads the AAC in saves and in saves/game (7.56).
> Gutowski was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll on Sept. 23 for her offensive efforts against Wagner (1g) and Penn (1a).
