Six Temple Owls to Participate in Senior Showcases

1.14.20 | Football

PHILADELPHIA – As the college football season ends and transitions to the new year, many student-athletes are preparing for their own transitions to the National Football League. In the coming weeks, six Temple Owls will participate in senior showcases looking to impress coaches and scouts at the next level.

Temple has a tradition of awarding single-digit jerseys to its toughest and most distinguished players and the football world has taken notice. All six of Temple's eligible single-digit players will participate in a showcase bowl. They are: linebackers Shaun Bradley, Chapelle Russell (NFLPA Bowl) and Sam Franklin (Tropical Bowl); wide receiver Isaiah Wright (East West Shrine Game); and offensive linemen Jovahn Fair (NFLPA Bowl) and Matt Hennessy (Senior Bowl).

In the previous four years, Temple has had more players drafted or signed by NFL teams than any other school in the Northeast. Temple is the only school outside the Power 5 conferences to have multiple players drafted to the NFL in each of the past four drafts. Temple currently has 19 players in the NFL.

East West Shrine Game – Isaiah Wright - January 18 - St. Petersburg, Fla.
