PHILADELPHIA – As the calendar turned to October, Owls continue to find success in the NFL with 15 players contributing to their respective teams this week.
The action started early in the week on Thursday night with kicker Brandon McManus (2009-12) and the Denver Broncos facing the New York Jets. McManus ended up being one of the heroes for the Broncos, hitting a 53-yard field goal to put Denver up 30-28 with under four minutes to go, which ended up being the game-winning score. McManus also converted his two other field goal attempts from 40 and 54 yards and went 4-of-4 on extra points in the 37-28 win.
Carolina and head coach Matt Rhule have found their groove as they won their second game in a row, defeating Arizona 31-21.
