Women's Basketball 2020-21 Schedule Announced

PHILADELPHIA -- The full 2020-21 Temple women's basketball schedule has been set. The Owls and the American Athletic Conference released the completed league schedule today with Temple's 22-game slate.
Temple will open the season with two non-conference games in December. The Owls will fly south to take on Florida Gulf Coast on Dec. 6 followed by a trip to South Carolina on Dec. 17 to take on the SEC powerhouse.
American Athletic Conference action for the Cherry and White will begin late December with back-to-back home matchups against SMU (Dec. 20) and Tulsa (Dec. 23). The first conference road game for the Owls will be at Tulane on Dec. 30.
Temple opens the new year at ECU on Jan. 6 before hosting UCF (Jan. 9) at McGonigle Hall and Cincinnati (Jan. 13) at the Liacouras Center. The Owls will then play back-to-back games in Texas as they take on SMU on Jan. 16 and Houston on Jan. 20. The Cherry and White will return to Philly for a Jan. 23 matchup against Wichita State before hitting the road again on Jan. 27 to play at USF. Temple will close out the busy month by hosting Tulane on Jan. 31.
February play will start with a trip to Cincinnati (Feb. 3) followed by a visit to Charles Koch Arena to take on Wichita State (Feb. 6). The Owls return home for a pair of games in the Liacouras Center as they welcome Houston on Feb. 10 and ECU on Feb. 13. A pair of road games will follow on Feb. 17 at Tulsa and Feb. 20 at Memphis. Temple returns to the Liacouras Center on Feb. 24 to host USF before heading back on the road to close out the month at UCF on the 27th.
The Owls will end the regular season on Mar. 2 at home against Memphis.
All 11 teams will compete in the 2021 American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The Championship is set for March 8-11, 2021.
Due to limited indoor capacity numbers mandated by City officials, spectators will not be permitted to start the season. Game times and broadcast assignments will be determined at a later date.
