Davis Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA – Senior forward Mia Davis earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 28 points and 9.5 rebounds across Temple's opening two games.

Davis registered 22 points and seven rebounds in the Owls' season-opener against Villanova. At FGCU, the Baltimore, Md. native recorded her first double-double of the season with a career-best 34 points and 12 boards. Davis collected 10 free throws over the pair of games, placing her at fifth in program history with 327 made foul shots.

Next up, the Owls head to #5 South Carolina on Thursday, Dec. 17 to take on former Temple women's basketball coach and current head coach Tonya Cardoza's college teammate, Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks.
