PHILADELPHIA – Junior forward Mia Davis was named the Big 5 Player of the Week after leading the Owls in Saturday's win over Houston.

This week's honor marks the fifth Big 5 nod for Davis this season and the seventh for Temple women's basketball.

Davis led the Owls to victory with her game-high 27 points as Temple topped Houston 76-75 Saturday afternoon at McGonigle Hall. The junior captain shot 11-for-17 from the floor (64.7%) and 4-for-5 from the foul line. Davis added seven rebounds, a block and a steal in the win.

The Baltimore, Md. native continues to average a double-double with 18.9 points and 10.4 rebounds per game to lead the Owls. Davis' rebounding numbers lead the American Athletic Conference and rank 16th nationally.

Up next, Temple hosts Memphis on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at the Liacouras Center for their annual "School Day" game. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m.
