Men’s Basketball Travels to Cincinnati for Regular Season Finale Saturday

CINCINNATI – Temple men's basketball will look to snap a four-game losing streak Saturday Night when the Owls (14-16, 6-11 AAC) travel to Cincinnati (19-10, 12-5 AAC) for their regular season finale. Tip time is 8 pm with the game being televised by CBS Sports Network.
SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple, under the direction of head coach Aaron McKie, features a balanced attack with seven players averaging 5.8 ppg or more.
> Senior guard Quinton Rose leads Temple (2nd AAC) in scoring (16.3 ppg), assists (3.5 apg/9th AAC) and steals (2.0 spg/3rd AAC). Rose, who is also the AAC's all-time leader in points (1,841) and steals (229), is the only player to rank in the Top 10 in the conference in these categories.
> Junior guard Nate Pierre-Louis leads Temple in rebounding (8.5 rpg/5th AAC), while ranking second in scoring (11.2 ppg), assists (3.1 apg) and steals (1.8/5th AAC).
> Senior Alani Moore II (8.3 ppg) has doubled his offensive output from last year (4.1 ppg) and is fifth in the AAC in threes per game (2.1) and three-point percentage (.394).
> Rounding out the starting five are senior Damion Moore (2.4 ppg/2.8 rpg) and junior J.P. Moorman II (5.8 ppg/5.0 rpg). Sophomore Jake Forrester (7.8 ppg/3.9 rpg), who has started 16 games, leads the Owls in field goal percentage (.533).
> Junior De'Vondre Perry (6.0 ppg), redshirt junior Monty Scott (7.2 ppg), who has topped double figures in five of the last eight games, and freshman Josh Pierre-Louis (3.9 ppg) have provided the most impact from the Owls' deep bench.

> Under the direction of first-year head coach John Brannen, Cincinnati is currently in third place in the conference with a 12-5 league mark.
> Jarron Cumberland, the reigning AAC Player of the Year, leads three Bearcats and ranks sixth in the conference with a 15.3 scoring average. He also leads the Bearcats and is second in the AAC in assists (4.8 apg).
> Senior Tre Scott (11.6 ppg) leads the conference in rebounding (10.5 rpg) and is one of two players in the AAC averaging a double-double.
> Keith Williams (12.7 ppg) and Chris Vogt (11.2 ppg/6.0 rpg) give the Bearcats four double-figure scorers with Vogt topping the league in field goal percentage (.649).
> Graduate transfer Jaevi Cumberland, the cousin of Jarron, averages 8.8 points off the bench while leading the team with 62 threes.
