Temple Athletics Announces Football Season Ticket Holder Assurance Plan

5.27.20 | Football, General

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University Athletics announced today a Ticket Assurance Plan for season ticket holders in preparation for the 2020 Owls football season at Lincoln Financial Field.

"We truly appreciate the continued loyalty and support of our season ticket holders," said Scott Walcoff, Senior Associate Athletic Director of External Operations.  "Given today's climate, it's extremely important for our season ticket holders to feel comfortable with their ticket purchase and for us as an Athletic Department to earn their trust by doing the right thing if the upcoming season is impacted in any way due to COVID-19."

Temple Athletics has put in place the following options for football season ticket holders if the 2020 season is disrupted:

If games are canceled, postponed, or played with restricted fan access that prevents your ticket from being used, you will have the following choices for games impacted:
1.  Receive a full refund for impacted games.
2. Receive 100 percent credit to your account for future ticket purchases.
3. Transfer the balance to the Owl Club to support Temple student-athlete initiatives as a 100 percent tax-deductible donation.  You may designate a specific team(s) to receive your donation.

A tax receipt can be provided as long as there is no benefit received related to tickets.

Second-year head coach Rod Carey, who led Temple to a 8-5 record and a berth in the Military Bowl in 2019, looks to extend the current streak of five straight bowl appearances. Temple has been bowl eligible for six straight seasons and nine of the last 11. The excitement continues in 2020 with our record-setting performers on the field. Jadan Blue had 95 catches for 1,067 yards, becoming the school record holder in both categories. He returns along with quarterback Anthony Russo, and freshman All-American running back Re'Mahn Davis, to give us explosive weapons on offense. Although we sent five defensive leaders to the NFL, smart, tough and relentless will continue to be a staple of the Temple defense.
