6.24.20 | Men's Golf

BRIDGEVLLE, Del. - Junior Dawson Anders won a three-player, three-hole playoff to claim the 2020 Delaware Amateur Championship Wednesday.  Anders, who was 14-under following 72 holes, birdied the first of three playoff holes and played even par over the final two holes to claim the victory.

Anders, who had 21 birdies and one eagle over the three days, was the best player in the field in par-3 holes.  He was four under for the tournament and his winning playoff hole was the par-3, 16th.

Coming off his best year as an Owl, Anders led Temple in 2019-20 with a 73.64 stroke average over 22 rounds. He had two Top 10 finishes with his best tournament, a fifth place showing at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate being his final event before the season was abruptly ended by COVID-19.

Four other Owls, Conor McGrath (+11, t19th), Liam McGrath (+15, 25th), Aaron Tobin (+19, 29th) and Buddy Hansen (+20, t31st) also competed over the four rounds
