Clinton, Davis Earn Spots on AAC Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA – Senior forward Mia Davis and freshman guard Jasha Clinton were both named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll after guiding Temple to two wins last week to remain undefeated in AAC play. 

Clinton averaged 14.0 points, 6.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals over the two-win week for Temple. The rookie collected 11 points, three steals and a career-best nine assists in the win at ECU. In Saturday's win over UCF, Clinton registered a career-high 17 points as she knocked down five three-pointers. The Virginia Beach, Va. native now averages 10.2 points per game for the Owls. 
 
Davis finished the week averaging 18.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. The Baltimore, Md. native recorded her fourth double-double of the season at ECU with 17 points and 11 boards, adding two assists and a steal to her stat line. Davis then scored a game-high 19 points with six rebounds against UCF. In the win over the Knights, Davis went 9-12 (75%) from the foul line, increasing her career total to 357 and moving up to second-place in Temple women's basketball history for made free throws. 

Next up, the Owls host Cincinnati on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at McGonigle Hall for a 3:30 p.m. tip-off.
