Football Adds Three More Transfers to 2021 Class

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple Football team announced the addition of three transfers to the Class of 2021. In December, Temple added five transfers, along with 12 incoming freshmen to its 2021 Class. All three additions – running back Iverson Clement, and defensive tackles Xach Gill and Lancine Turay – come to Temple from Power 5 programs.
Clement, who hails from Mount Holly, N.J., and Rancocas Valley High, saw action over the past three seasons at Florida. During that time he played in 13 games and gained 94 yards on 12 carries, while also seeing time on special teams.
Gill and Turay were teammates at North Carolina. Gill has played in 25 games over three seasons and accumulated 17 tackles, 2.0 sacks, and one fumble recovery. Turay has played in two games.
All three arrived at Temple this weekend and will begin the semester tomorrow. They will be joined by all five transfers who were signed in December – wide receiver Amad Anderson (Purdue), running back Ra'Von Bonner (Illinois), quarterback D'Wan Mathis (Georgia), cornerback Keyshawn Paul (UConn), and defensive end Willie Rodgers (Washington State). Also joining them as mid-year freshman enrollees are: tight end Coleman Jeffcoat, offensive lineman Keshaun Jones, and defensive tackle Jalen Satchell.
Temple has also added the following walk-ons to the roster:
Temple will open the 2021 season on Saturday, September 4, at Rutgers. The complete 2021 schedule is expected to be released in February.
