Women's Soccer 2020-21 Season Captains Named

1/21/2021

We're delighted to officially name our trio of captains. Even in the most normal of times, internal leadership within the locker room has always been an essential element to a successful culture. As we know, these are not normal times, and peer-to-peer leadership bears that much more significance in such trying and complex times.
We are fortunate to have fantastic leadership within our team, and Julia, Arry, and Kam are an ideal trio to lead our program forward. Julia brings a wealth of maturity, experience, and has known this program for the better part of a decade. Through her first year at Temple in 2019-2020, Arryana has cemented herself as an integral part of this program as well as the greater student-athlete community here at Temple and provides a brand of leadership that is respected by all of her peers and colleagues. Lastly, Kamryn has come in and immediately established herself as the energetic core of our team. Her hunger, enthusiasm, high standards and insatiable desire to bring this team closer has made her an immediate focal point within the team. We believe this is a fantastic captain group, and we know how important their leadership, ambition, and insight will be in weeks and months ahead.

It's a great feeling to know that your teammates and coaching staff believe you have the qualities and characteristics that best fit the team to lead them in the direction of success. I am eager to step into this new role and be the best player, teammate and leader I can be for this team. I'm very excited for this upcoming season especially because it's been a long time coming and my last season. As a team, we have high hopes for our future games and exhibitions. There's been a lot of work put in by everyone on the team and as always, we want to keep getting better. I am confident in my teammates and the coaching staff.

I think our team has an incredible opportunity to grow this season. We have a brand new coaching staff and lots of new faces including my own. I think everyone is excited to get started after a full semester of training. I cannot wait to work alongside Julia and Arry as we all bring something unique to the table. I’m hoping to be a spark plug on the team and just bring the energy!
