Women’s Basketball Falls at Houston

HOUSTON — The Temple women's basketball team dropped their second-straight American Athletic Conference game as the Owls fell at Houston, 80-46, Wednesday afternoon at the Fertitta Center. Houston improved to 8-4 (5-3 AAC) while the Cherry and White fell to 4-5 (4-2 AAC).
How It Happened
> Temple committed 30 turnovers, the most turnovers they have had since the 2017-18 season when they totaled 35 turnovers against Hampton.
> Houston collected 31 offensive rebounds, which they turned into 26 second-chance points.
> The Cougars held the rebounding advantage, 61-36.
> Houston finished the game shooting 37% (30-81) from the floor, while Temple collected a field goal percentage of 31.6 (18-57).
Statistically Speaking
> Freshman Jasha Clinton led Temple with 14 points and a career-best six steals.
> Junior Alexa Williamson finished just shy of a double-double with nine points and a career-best 13 rebounds. The forward added three blocks to her stat line.
> The Owls ended the game with a season-high 14 steals.
