Women's Cross Country Competes in Paul Short Invitational

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple women's cross country team finished  23rd overall out of the thirty-seven teams competing at the Paul Short Invitational. Senior Michelle Joyce led the Owls with a 3rd place finish in the 6k with a time of 20.43.2.

- "It was great to see Michelle run under 21 minutes today. Â One thing I am confident about with the ladies is that we will continue to see improvement because we are getting everyone back and healthy, and this group will be able to grow from that."
- As a team, the Owls finished in  23rd place out of the  37 teams that competed at the Paul Short Invitational.
- Temple saw two runners finish in the top-100 with Joyce finishing in 32nd and Helene Gottlieb finishing 83rd.
- Freshman runner Lea Keribirou remained out due to injury.
- Northern Arizona picked up the first  place spot with Villanova and Utah State rounding out the top-3.
- The Owls will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 16, when they travel to Princeton, N.J. to compete in the Princeton Invite.
