PHILADELPHIA - The Temple field hockey team fell 6-1 to No. 9 Liberty Friday night, falling to 7-6 (3-2 BIG EAST) on the season. Junior McKenna Burkhardt scored the lone goal for the Owls, her second-straight goal this season.

Recapping the Game
> Liberty got on the board quickly, scoring at the four-minute mark.
> The Owls found the equalizer less than a minute later, with Burkhardt drawing a penalty stroke on a corner attempt and putting Temple on the board.
> The Flames scored a pair of goals in the second quarter to go up 3-1 at the half.
> The Temple offense was stagnant after halftime, and Liberty was able to score three more goals heading into the final frame.
> The Cherry and White defense held the Flames to just two shots in the final 15 minutes of the game.
