Men's Cross Country Adds Another Top-5 Finish to Their Strong 2021 Season at the Princeton Invite

10.16.21 | Men's Cross Country

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple men's cross country team picked up a top-5 finish at the Princeton Invite. The Owls put together a nice bounce-back performance following the Paul Short Invitational two weeks ago. Temple was led by graduate student Joe Arthur, who picked up a second-place finish with a time of 24:07.7.

From the Players
  • "I feel I ran the race very well today. I was able to really dictate what I wanted to happen with the top group of runners. It came down to the Villanova guy and me, and he just had a little more in the tank left down the stretch. From a team perspective, I want to shout out Liem and Brayden, two freshmen who really ran well today. I think our team is in a good spot heading into the AAC Championships," said Arthur.
Race Notes
  • Arthur led the Owls with a second-place finish.
  • Temple saw four runners finish within the top-50 in Arthur, Josh Christianson, Liem Chot, and Brayden Harris.
  • All eight runners for the Owls finished within the top-100.
  • Freshman Tyler Fauvelle, Jimmy Koel, and Jeppe Risvig were held out due to injuries.
  • Villanova picked up the top spot with Stony Brook, Columbia, George Mason, and Temple rounding out the top-5.
