Men’s Soccer Falls to UCF 3-0

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men's soccer team fell to the UCF Knights (8-4, 6-1 AAC) 3-0 Saturday night. With the loss Temple is now 2-9-2 on the season, and 0-7-0 in American Athletic Conference play.
How it Happened
> UCF scored on the first shot of the match.
> UCF got on the board in the 13th minute.
> Temple keeper Goodwill Agbaadem made a strong save in the 31st minute. UCF got behind the Temple backline and began breaking towards the goal, the UCF forward fired a open shot on net, but Agbaadem read the play perfectly and made the easy stop.
> Agbaadem made another great save a few minutes later. The UCF offense found an open shooter on the left side of the box and ripped a shot that curled towards the center of the goal. However, Agbaadem was able to dive and deny the goal.
> UCF scored in the 39th minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
> The Knights scored early in the second to go up 3-0.
> UCF took the match by a final tally of 3-0.

> Kyle Hellmann set a season-high in both shots and shots on goal with three each.
> Gyuwon Chong set a career-high in shots with two.
> Three yellow cards were issued in this match. Two were pulled on Temple and one on UCF.
