PHILADELPHIA – Temple Football added three incoming freshmen recruits to its 2022 signing class on the first day of the early signing period.

"We are very excited that these young men are committed to Temple University," said Arthur Johnson, Temple's Vice President and Director of Athletics. "They have stood firm on their commitment to the University regardless of the head coach and it was important that we stayed committed to them as well.
 
"I believe that our next head coach will be pleased with the character that these young men have exhibited as they work together in the coming months and years. I also feel strongly that our next head coach will be able to find additional student-athletes to support this recruiting class in time for February's National Signing Day."

High School: Played running back, wide receiver and safety for Curtis High in Staten Island, N.Y., under head coach Pete Gambardella … played in the City Championship Game as a senior … accounted for 750 yards and 21 touchdowns on offense (39-550-14 rushing, 7-200-5 receiving) as a senior, while adding two scores on punt returns … also had 25 tackles and two interceptions on defense … played at Paramus (N.J.) Catholic High during 2020 COVID season … had 800 yards and 17 rushing touchdowns as a sophomore … topped 1,000 rushing yards, and 13 touchdowns as a freshman … also played basketball.

Academy International for head coach Jesse Chinchar as a senior … had 88 tackles, including 51 solos, 15.0 TFLs and 8.0 sacks … … attended Suffield Academy in Connecticut as a junior but the team did not play due to COVID … played at Atlantic City (N.J.) High as a sophomore and St. Augustine Prep as a freshman … also played basketball.
