Six Owls Earn All-ECAC Honors

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2021 Division I FBS All-ECAC Team & Major Awards. Six Temple Owls earned recognition, including these five graduates: Wide receiver Randle Jones, offensive lineman C.J. Perez, defensive end Manny Walker, linebacker William Kwenkeu, and safety Amir Tyler. Junior offensive lineman Isaac Moore rounds out the list.
 
Syracuse had seven selections (RB Sean Tucker, OL Airon Servais, OL Matthew Bergeron, DL Josh Black, DL Cody Roscoe, LB Mikel Jones, DB Garrett Williams), followed by Temple's six. Rutgers (RB Isaih Pacheco, WR Bo Melton, DL Julius Turner, LB Olakunle Katukasi, DB Avery Young) and Navy (OL Kip Frankland, OL Pierce Banbury, LB Diego Fagot, K Bijan Nichols, RS Marquel Haywood) had five each, Penn State four (WR Jahan Dotson, DL Arnold Ebiketie, DB Jaquan Brisker, P Jordan Stout), followed by Liberty (QB Malik Willis) and Army (LB Andre Carter) with one each.
 
Former Temple Owl defensive end Ebiketie was voted Defensive Player of the Year alongside his Penn State teammate, Dotson, who won Offensive Player of the Year. Syracuse defensive back Darian 'Duce" Chestnut won Rookie of the Year. Army head Coach Jeff Monken won Coach of the Year.

ABOUT THE ECAC
The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-two-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments, and other competitions throughout the Northeast. The ECAC's esports platform is growing and now totals more than sixty colleges and universities and is expanding the geographic footprint for the conference nationally. The ECAC is also sponsoring competitions and leagues involving other varsity and club sports that do not fall under the umbrella of the NCAA.
