Men's Tennis Looks to Bounce Back Versus Villanova

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple men's tennis takes its play across the Delaware to the Cherry Hill Racquet Club this Wednesday as the Owls face the Villanova Wildcats at 10 a.m. 
 
The Owls
> Temple opened up the season with a strong, dominant showing sweeping FDU 7-0.
> The Owls then took to the road for a three match road trip, beating George Mason and Norfolk State, but lost to ODU.
> The team currently boasts a 3-1 record this season. 
> Sophomore Marin Delmas is 4-0 in singles competition as the No. 1 player for the Owls and 3-1 in doubles competition.
> Freshman Léo Raquin made an immediate impact in his rookie debut, going 3-1 in singles competition.
 
Scouting Villanova
> Villanova is led by head coach Brad Adams.
> Temple's last matchup against Villanova was in Feb. 2018 where the Wildcats defeated the Owls 4-0.
> After starting the season with two losses, the Wildcats have bounced back to win three straight.
> Last time out, Villanova picked up a victory over city foe La Salle, beating the Explorers 6-1. 
> Returning for the Wildcats is Daniel Martinez who went 11-5 in singles and 14-8 in doubles competition during the 2019-20 season.
> The team also welcomes five freshmen to the team with four of them having made their collegiate debuts this season.
