Men’s Cross Country Heads South for FSU Last Chance Meet

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men's cross country team travels to Tallahassee, Fla. to compete in the Florida State University Cross Country Last Chance Meet on Friday, Mar. 5 at Apalachee Regional Park.
About the FSU XC Last Chance Meet
> The meet is hosted by Florida State University.
> The men's 8K race is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning.
> Apalachee Regional Park is a 100+ acre park that has been home to numerous cross country events. The park will host the 2021 NCAA Cross Country Championships in November.
> Temple is set to race against Warner, USF, Florida State, Michigan, Syracuse, West Florida, Black Mountain and Florida A&M.
Last Time Out
> The Owls finished fifth out of 10 teams at the Spider/Patriot Cross Country Classic on Feb. 20 in Mechanicsville, Va. Temple registered 153 points in the five mile race.
> Iona earned first place with 24 points, followed by UConn (57), UMass Lowell (73) and George Mason (155).
> Senior Kristian Jensen was the first in the Cherry and White to cross the finish line at 25:00.3 for an 18th-place finish.
> Junior Ethan Koza was the second Owl to finish with his time of 25:20.9 for the 27th spot.
> Sean Egan and Tyler Fauvelle finished back-to-back at 39 and 40, respectively, followed by Jimmy Koel (44), Erik Kain (45), Christian Fitch (47).
