Women's Soccer Concludes Regular Season at Houston

PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's soccer finishes up its regular season competition with a road game versus AAC opponent Houston this Friday. The game is slated to begin at 2 p.m. at the Carl Lewis International Complex and will be broadcast live on Cougars All-Access.

The Owls
> Temple women's soccer bounced back this week with a dominant win over AAC opponent, Tulsa, 2-0, last Sunday.
> Róisín McGovern and Emma Wilkins landed their second goals of the season in the victory. Kamryn Stablein also nabbed her second shutout as an Owl with a strong showing in goal and picked up four saves.
> For their efforts, McGovern and Stablein earned their second AAC weekly awards this season, winning Rookie of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week respectively.

Scouting Houston
> Houston currently sits at 4-4-1 (1-4-0 AAC) this season after going 6-14 (3-6 AAC) during the 2019 season. The Cougars made it to the AAC Tournament, but were eliminated in the first round by UCF.
> Returning for Houston is 2019 leading scorer, Jazmin Grant. Grant has four goals and four assists this season and ranks top-ten in ten offensive categories for the Cougars, solidifying her name in their record book.
> The Cougars are currently on a two-game losing streak, being beat by AAC rivals Cincinnati and USF this past week.

Game Preview
> The matchup between the Owls and Cougars marks the eighth time in program history that the teams have met, with the Owls' record standing at 6-1.
> The last time the teams met was during the 2019 season where Temple defeated Houston, 2-0.
