Lacrosse Back in Action Against Cincinnati This Weekend

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple lacrosse team (6-3, 2-2 AAC) takes the field for the first time in two weeks this weekend as they hit the road to face the Cincinnati Bearcats (4-6, 0-4 AAC). The first game will begin Friday at 3 p.m., the second has a start time of 12 p.m, both games will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple swept the Old Dominion Monarchs in a pair of road matches two weeks ago.
> Belle Mastropietro leads the team in goals with 21. She scored two goals and notched two assists against the Monarchs.
> After a brief drop in production, Meghan Hoffman returned to top form in Norfolk, Va. The attacker put up four assists and two goals over the weekend. She is second in the American Athletic Conference in both assists (21), and assists per game (2.55).
> Temple has been magnificent in the draw circle this season. Bridget Whitaker and Kara Nakrasius are both tracking to end the year in the top ten for most draw controls in a single season in school history.

> The second game was a tense back-and-forth contest that featured seven lead changes and six ties. Nakrasius hit her second game-winning goal of the season with 24 seconds remaining.
>Whitaker set a new career-high on Friday with eight draw control wins.

> Cincinnati is 4-6 on the season. They have struggled in conference play so far, losing all four conference matches they have played.
> Three players lead the Bearcats, Alyssa Adams, Kylie Nause, and Monica Borzillo. All three have over twenty goals this season and rank near the top of the American in goals or points.
> The Bearcats are coached by Gina Thomas. This is her ninth season leading Cincinnati. Thomas was an All-American at Ohio State and a two-time World Champion as a player. During her tenure, the Bearcats are 52-85 but have steadily improved.
