Men's Tennis Hopes to Rebound with Back-to-Back Action this Weekend

PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's tennis hopes to pick up momentum yet again as they prepare to face Colgate and Fordham over the weekend. The Owls will celebrate seniors Juan Araoz, Eric Biscoveanu and Michael Haelen at their Senior Day match against Colgate on Saturday, Apr. 10 at 1 p.m. at TU Pavilion. On Sunday, Apr. 11, Temple will play Fordham at the Cherry Hill Racquet Club, beginning play at 11 a.m.
The Owls
> The Owls hold a 9-2 record this season after falling to #30 Tulsa on Wednesday, 6-1.
> Thibault Frumholz was victorious in his singles match, claiming a point for Temple, while the doubles pairing of Frumholz and Leo Raquin also won their flight against Tulsa.
> Marin Delmas leads the Owls in singles action with a record of 10-1, while the team of Delmas and Juan Araoz lead in doubles play.
> The Owls hold a 7-0 all-time record over Fordham. The Owls have not seen action with Fordham since Feb. 2014 where they defeating the Rams, 5-1

> The Raiders are led by head coach Bobby Pennington who is in his second decade at the helm of the program.
> Colgate holds a 2-4 record for the season after falling to Bucknell, 4-1, last time out.
> Leading the team this year is No. 1 singles Francis Scott Bickel with a record of 3-2 and one unfinished match. For doubles, Jack Ablon and Nate Romig lead with a record of 4-2.

> Fordham is led by head coach Mike Sowter in his sixth season at the helm of the Fordham men's tennis team.
> Fordham holds a 3-1 record for the season after defeating Queens College, 5-2, last time out.
> The Rams will face La Salle on Saturday before their match against Temple on Sunday.
> Alex Makatsaria leads Fordham in singles play at 3-1 from the No. 3 position. In doubles, Tom Russwurm leads with a record of 2-1, one unfinished, taking three matches with Lutwin de Macar and one bout with Rhett Bailey.
