Women's Tennis Faces City 6 Opponent, La Salle, this Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - With less than two weeks remaining in the regular season, Temple women's tennis looks to bounce back as they face La Salle this weekend at home. The Owls will host the Explorers at TU Pavilion on Saturday, Apr. 11 at 4 p.m.
 
The Owls
> Temple fell to a 7-2 record this season after their recent loss to #49 Tulsa on Wednesday, 6-1, breaking their six-match win streak.
> The Owls claimed the doubles point with wins by Sena Takebe and Ling Hsuan Wei in the second flight and by Oyku Boz and Vineetha Mummadi in the third flight.
> Vineetha Mummadi and Oleksandra Doreshenko lead the team in singles action, both with 8-1 records.
> Saturday's match will serve as Senior Day for Temple women's tennis as the team honors Boz, Doroshenko and Cecilia Castelli.
 
Scouting La Salle
> The Explorers are led by head coach Marco Matteucci who was named the head men's and women's tennis coach at La Salle University in August 2019.
> La Salle holds a 0-6 record this season, most recently falling to Lafayette, 6-1.
