Men's Basketball to Compete at the 2021 Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic
5.20.21 | Men's Basketball
PHILADELPHIA - The Shriners Children's Charleston Classic has set its eight-team field, which includes Temple, for the 2021 tournament to be held Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Nov. 18, 19 and 21, at TD Arena in Charleston, S.C. The rest of the field includes Boise State, Clemson, Elon, Marquette, Ole Miss, St. Bonaventure and West Virginia.
This will be Temple's fourth appearance in the Charleston Classic. The Owls won the tournament in 2017, defeating Old Dominion, Auburn and Clemson. The win over Clemson in the title game avenged losses to the Tigers in both the 2008 and 2013 tournaments.
This family-friendly tournament offers the teams a week of practice, play and experiences in and around historic Charleston.
Tickets will be available for purchase following the announcement of the complete tournament schedule later this summer. In the meantime, fans can secure up to $25 off each all-tournament ticket by signing up for the pre-sale at www.charlestonclassic.com.
