Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Announce 2021 Slate

PHILADELPHIA — Head coach James Snyder has announced the Temple men's and women's cross country 2021 schedule. The season begins with four competitive meets leading up to the American Athletic Conference Championships.
The 2021 slate begins with the Temple Invite on Friday, Sept. 3 at the home course of Belmont Plateau. The Cherry and White will then travel to the Bronx for the Iona Meet of Champions on Sept. 17 at Van Cortlandt Park.
Temple will open up the month of October at the annual Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh, on Oct. 1. Two weeks later on Oct. 16, the Owls will compete in the Princeton Invite as their final preparation for the American Athletic Conference Championships.
The 2021 AAC Cross Country Championships will be held at Holloway Park in Lakeland, Fla. on Oct. 29 with USF playing host. Temple will then compete in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Nov. 12 in Bethlehem, Pa. in hopes to qualify for the NCAA National Championships. The national meet will take place on Nov. 20 at the beautiful Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla.
Should the Owls not qualify for the NCAA National Championship, they will race in the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Nov. 20 at Van Cortlandt Park.
