Bolukbasi, Grimshaw Named All-Tournament at Temple Invitational

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple volleyball team was represented on the Temple Invitational All-Tournament team by a pair of pin hitters in Miray Bolukbasi and Gem Grimshaw. The duo led the Owls' offense in three matches to open the 2021 season.

Bolukbasi tallied 2.75 kills per set in the tournament. Against Rider, she led the Owls with 19 kills, hitting .289 and adding four blocks. Against Stanford, she had 12 kills with just two errors, hitting .385 with five digs.

Grimshaw averaged 3.17 kills per set, hitting .263 for the tournament. She had a massive 18 kills against Rider, adding 16 digs for a double-double. Against #21 Stanford, she racked up 13 kills, hitting .462 with eight digs.

Temple volleyball is back in action at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing Cherry & White Challenge. The Owls will take on Iona, Maryland, and LIU at McGonigle Hall.
