Golf Opens Season at GolfWeek Fall Challenge

Myrtle Beach, S.C. - The Temple Golf team opens its 2021-22 season this weekend at the 18-team GolfWeek Fall Challenge Sunday.  The three-day, 72-hole stroke play event will be held at the 6,926-yard par 72 True Blue Golf Course. 

Scouting the Owls
> Temple head coach Brian Quinn returns eight members from last year's squad led by their top two golfers, senior Dawson Anders and junior Conor McGrath. 
> Anders, a two-time team captain, averaged 74.06 strokes per round, while McGrath led the Owls and earned Ping All-Region accolades with a 73.61 strokes per round.
> Graham Chase, who has played all 40 rounds in his two-year career, will again be among the Owls starting five.
> Joey Morganti and Ethan Whitney, who will be making their collegiate debuts at the GolfWeek Fall Challenge, round out the Temple squad.

The Field
> Seventeen other schools will be in the field: California Baptist, Campbell, Delaware, Drexel, Evansville, La Salle, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Mercer, New Orleans, Presbyterian, St. Thomas (MN), Stephen F. Austin St., USC Upstate, Tennessee Tech and Wofford.
> Temple tees off at 8:30 am from hole 10.
