Men’s Soccer Opens AAC Slate with No. 18 SMU

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple men's soccer team will host No. 18 SMU Saturday night to open its American Athletic Conference schedule. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+ and attendance is free to all spectators.
LAST TIME OUT: VILLANOVA 2, @ TEMPLE 1 (2OT)
> Temple fell to the Villanova Wildcats 2-1 for their first loss of the season.
> Alex Marin scored his first career goal in the 15th minute to open up the scoring.
> Eoin Gawronski starred yet again for Temple with six saves.
> For the third time this season, the Owls faced a penalty kick goal in overtime. Villanova was the first team to convert an overtime PK attempt, giving the Wildcats the win.

> Kevin Hudson helms SMU for his 7th season. Hudson has a record of 74-27-13 during his time with the Mustangs. He has taken SMU to three-straight AAC titles. In 2019 he led the Mustangs to the Elite Eight.
