Golf Announces 2022 Spring Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – Temple head coach Brian Quinn announced that his 2022 spring schedule which features six tournaments. Temple will look to continue its strong play from the fall which saw the team post top five finishes in five of their six tournaments, including a first-place finish at the Cornell Invitational.
The Owls, led by the play of co-captains Dawson Anders (73.43) and Conor McGrath (69.86), will start the spring season at the Wexford Intercollegiate on Feb. 21-22. The tournament will be held at the Wexford Plantation Course in Hilton Head, S.C.
Anders and McGrath, who shot at or under par in 11 of 14 fall rounds, are joined by Graham Chase (72.14), Ethan Whitney (73.29), all of whom competed in all 14 rounds in the fall.
"We are looking forward to a strong spring season and this tournament slate should prepare us for the highly competitive AAC Championship," said Quinn. "We have the deepest roster I have had in my 15 years at Temple led by one of the top golfers in the country, Conor McGrath and three-time captain Dawson Anders. I am really excited for Dawson, who is in his final season. He has been a great leader and a mainstay for our program over the last five seasons."
Temple will again compete at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate (Mar. 7-8), marking the sixth straight year at the tournament held at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C.
One week later, the Cherry and White heads to Florida to compete at the Southern Invitational on March 14-15. The event will be held at The Falls Club in Palm Beach.
The team will travel to North Carolina to play in the ECU Intercollegiate for the second time on March 21-22. The tournament will be held at Brook Valley.
The final regular season event will be close to home, as Temple will compete in the Princeton Invitational (Apr. 9-10) held at the Springdale Golf Club.
The 2022 American Athletic Conference Championship will be held at Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville, Fla. for the second straight year from April 22-24.
