Week 17 was another productive week for Owls in the NFL as seven former Temple Owls started games on Sunday.

Dion Dawkins (2013-16) started, and Tyler Matakevich (2012-15) played on special teams in the Bills 29-15 win over Matt Hennessy's (2017-19) Atlanta Falcons. Hennessy started for Atlanta.

Brandon McManus (2009-12) made a career long 61-yard field goal in the Broncos' loss at the Los Angles Chargers, 34-13, while Nate Hairston (2012-16) started for the third consecutive week at cornerback.

Tavon Young (2012-15) started for the third consecutive week for the Baltimore Ravens as they lost to the Rams, 20-19. Young led the Ravens' defense with a team-high nine tackles and played every defensive snap.

Matt Ioannidis (2012-15) started and made three tackles as his Washington Football Team fell to Shaun Bradley's (2016-19) Philadelphia Eagles, 27-17.

Matt Rhule's (2013-16) Carolina Panthers fell to the New Orleans Saints on the road, 18-10. Colin Thompson (2014-16) and Robby Anderson (2011-13, 2015) started, while the latter had two catches for 10 yards. Sam Franklin (2016-19) added one tackle on special teams., Haason Reddick (2013-16), who is a regular starter, missed the game due to COVID protocols.

Jacob Martin (2014-17) started and made one tackle for the Houston Texans in their loss to the San Francisco 49ers, 23-7.

Rock Ya-Sin (2018) started, made four tackles, and had two pass breakups in the loss to the Indianapolis Colts, 23-20.

Quincy Roche (2016-19) and Chris Myarick's (2015-19) Giants fell to the Bears on the road, 29-3. Roche made three tackles and one TFL, while Myarick saw action on special teams.

Ryquell Armstead (2014-17) and Chapelle Russell (2015-19)'s Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the New England Patriots, 50-10. Armstead rushed for 28 yards and added one catch for six yards in his season debut, while Russell saw action on special teams.

Bruce Arians (1983-88) and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers traveled to the Meadowlands and defeated Kenny Yeboah's (2016-19) New York Jets, 28-24. Yeboah had two catches for 36 yards.

Michael Dogbe (2015-18) saw limited action on defense and special teams as his Arizona Cardinals beat the Dallas Cowboys, 25-22.
