ORLANDO, FLA. – The Temple Owls volleyball team dropped its fourth straight match as it lost to No. 24 UCF on Friday night in three sets, 15-25, 15-25, 16-25.

  • Temple rallied to score three out of the following four points and cut the deficit to six points (20-14) on three errors by UCF, but Knights were able to hold off the TU for the 25-15 win.

Set 2 (UCF 25, Temple 15)
  • Back-to-back aces by Dresden Pass allowed UCF to jump ahead by four points, 5-1, to begin the second set, but Temple fought back and scored four of the next five points to cut into the UCF lead with a pair of kills from sophomores Magdalena Rogalska and Taylor Davenport to make the score, 6-5.
  • Later in the set with the score 9-8 in favor of the Golden Knights, UCF reeled off three straight points to give themselves a four-point cushion, 12-8.
  • The Cherry and White cut the lead to two points before UCF scored six unanswered points off the serve of Melville. During the run, Melville, and teammate Emily Wilson had two kills apiece to extend their lead to ten points, 20-12.
  • The Golden Knights closed out the set 25-15, scoring five of the final seven points.

Set 3 (UCF 25, Temple 16)
  • Just as the second set ended, UCF scored five of the first seven points with the help of Kari Zumach's pair of kills.
