Shinn Joins the Temple Athletics Business Department

PHILADELPHIA - Executive Senior Associate AD/Finance and Administration Tim Thiess has announced the addition of Haley Shinn as the Business Operations Coordinator.

Haley will play an integral role in the day-to-day management of the athletic budget. Haley will also be primarily responsible for oversight and reconciliation of athletics budget and departmental purchasing cards, processing of business documents, identifying cost saving initiatives and creating operational efficiencies for all department business related functions.

" I would like to thank Tim Thiess, Dennis Hawkins, and the rest of the staff for this incredible opportunity, and I am thrilled to use my skills and knowledge to better serve the Temple and Philadelphia community. Shinn spent the last year working at Resnick Academic Support Center as a graduate intern where she coached Temple student-athletes, working one-on-one in their professional and career development.

Shinn is no stranger to the athletics industry. Before starting at Temple, she worked as a sports information student assistant at Stockton University in Pomona, N.J. from September 2018 to May 2020. There, Shinn worked alongside 250 student athletes and 19 collegiate varsity sports. Additionally, Shinn worked for the Jersey Shore Basketball League where she implemented marketing strategies and assisted in the scheduling of games for the 70-player league, referees, and game personnel.

Shinn earned her bachelor's degree in social and behavioral science from Stockton University in 2020 and her master's degree in sports business with a concentration in sports analytics from Temple in 2022.
