Owls in the NFL - Week 4
10.3.22 | Football
PHILADELPHIA - With week 4 coming to an end, here is a look at how some of our former Owls performed.
Haason Reddick (2013-16), Shaun Bradley (2016-19), and the Philadelphia Eagles continue to roll as they improve their record to 4-0, becoming the last undefeated team remaining in the NFL. Reddick was able to top last week's performance and show how Temple TUFF he really is. In a rainy 29-21 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Reddick had four tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
It was an Owls reunion in Carolina on Sunday. Michael Dogbe (2014-18) and the Arizona Cardinals headed to Charlotte to face off against Matt Rhule (2013-16) and former Owls - Robbie Anderson (2011-13, 2015), Sean Chandler (2014-17), Sam Franklin (2016-19), Matt Ioannidis (2012-15), and P.J. Walker (2013-16). Chandler reeled in a season-high five tackles, Ioannidis had four to go along with one quarterback hit, and Anderson caught three passes for 26-yards. Unfortunately, it was not enough as Arizona would win, 26-16.
Arnold Ebiketie (2017-20) and Matt Hennessy (2016-19) helped the Atlanta Falcons defeat the Cleveland Browns, 23-20. Ebiketie contributed one tackle, a pass deflection and a season-high, three quarterback hits in this win.
Jacob Martin (2014-17) led his New York Jets into Pittsburgh and came out with a 24-20 victory over the Steelers. Martin was able to reel in one tackle and a pass deflection in this bounce back win.
Dion Dawkins (2013-16) and Tyler Matakevich (2012-15) helped lead the Buffalo Bills to a 23-20 late game victory against the Baltimore Ravens.
Chris Myarick (2016-18) and the New York Giants were also able to bounce back from their loss last week and defeat the Chicago Bears, 20-12.
Brandon McManus (2009-12) and the Denver Broncos were unable to beat AFC West division rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders, as they would lose, 32-23. McManus was still able to score five points (1 FG and 2 PATs) in the loss.
Last week, New Orleans added wide receiver Keith Kirkwood (2014-17) to its practice squad.
