Owls in the NFL - Week 8

PHILADELPHIA - The most exciting play in the NFL during Week 8 began at the hands of Carolina's P.J. Walker.
Former Owls - Sean Chandler (2014-17), Sam Franklin (2016-19), Matt Ioannidis (2012-15), Walker (2013-16), and the Carolina Panthers took on their NFC South division rivals, the Atlanta Falcons, and former teammates Arnold Ebiketie (2017-20) and Matt Hennessy (2016-19). Ioannidis reeled in four tackles and one quarterback hit while Ebiketie had two tackles and one pass deflection.Walker completed 19 of his 36 passes for 317-yards and one touchdown, including the play of the day. With under one minute in the fourth quarter, and down 34-28, Walker launched a 62-yard pass to D.J. Moore in the endzone to tie the game. Unfortunately, Carolina missed the extra point and the Falcons would win in overtime, 37-34.
Haason Reddick (2013-16), Shaun Bradley (2016-19), and the Philadelphia Eagles dominated their Keystone counterpart, the Pittsburgh Steelers, in a 35-13 victory. Reddick had two tackles, one sack, one tackle-for-loss, and one quarterback hit. Bradley also contributed one tackle.
On Sunday Night, Dion Dawkins (2013-16), Tyler Matakevich (2012-15), and the Buffalo Bills remained hot, as they defeated the Green Bay Packers, 27-17, winning their fourth consecutive game.
Brandon McManus (2009-12) and the Denver Broncos faced off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in this week's London game. McManus helped the Broncos to a 21-17 victory, as he contributed three points (3 PATs).
Chris Myarick (2016-18), Quincy Roche (2016-19), and the New York Giants snapped their winning streak, losing, 27-13, against the Seattle Seahawks. Myarick had one reception for 10-yards.
Jacob Martin (2014-17) and the New York Jets lost to AFC East division rivals, the New England Patriots, 22-17. Martin contributed one tackle, one sack, and one quarterback hit.
UPDATE: Martin was traded to the Denver Broncos prior to the NFL's Trade Deadline on Tuesday.
Michael Dogbe (2014-18), Robbie Anderson (2011-13, 2015) and the Arizona Cardinals lost a shootout to the Minnesota Vikings, 34-26 in Minneapolis.
Rock Ya-Sin (2018) and the Las Vegas Raiders lost to the New Orleans Saints, 24-0. Ya-Sin recorded six tackles and one pass deflection.
