PHILADELPHIA - Week 9 of the NFL was good to the Owls who play football at Lincoln Financial Field, but not as kind to those who have made it out of Philadelphia.

The action began Thursday Night as Haason Reddick (2013-16), Shaun Bradley (2016-19), and the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Houston Texans, becoming the first Eagles team to start 8-0 in franchise history. Reddick tallied two tackles, one tackle-for-loss, one pass defended, and one quarterback hit, while Bradley continued his work on special teams.

Arnold Ebiketie (2017-20), Matt Hennessy (2016-19), and the Atlanta Falcons lost to the Los Angeles Chargers, 20-17. Ebiketie contributed three tackles.

In an AFC East divisional matchup, Dion Dawkins (2013-16), Tyler Matakevich (2012-15), and the Buffalo Bills faced off against the New York Jets. Dawkins and the Bills offense scored 17 points and accrued over 300 total yards, but it was not enough as they would lose, 20-17.

Rock Ya-Sin (2018) and the Las Vegas Raiders lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 27-20. Ya-Sin recorded six tackles.

Michael Dogbe (2014-18), Robbie Anderson (2011-13, 2015) and the Arizona Cardinals lost to NFC West divisional rivals, the Seattle Seahawks, 31-21. Anderson recorded his first catch as an Arizona Cardinal.

Former Owls - Sean Chandler (2014-17), Sam Franklin (2016-19), Matt Ioannidis (2012-15), P.J. Walker (2013-16), and the Carolina Panthers lost to the Cincinnati Bengals, 42-21. Chandler tallied three tackles, while Franklin and Ioannidis had one.

Chris Myarick (2016-18), Quincy Roche (2016-19), and the New York Giants had their bye week, as did Brandon McManus (2009-12), Jacob Martin (2014-17), and the Denver Broncos.
