PHILADELPHIA - Four Temple Owls were named to the Academic All-Area Team for football. Wide receiver Jose Barbon, offensive lineman Isaac Moore, running back Edward Saydee, and linebacker Kobe Wilson were each rewarded for their accomplishments in the classroom, as well as on the football field.

Barbon, a graduate student studying communications studies, had a career season on the field. He was the first Temple receiver to post six 100-yard receiving games in the same season. He finished the year with 71 receptions for 910 yards, the third and fourth best marks, respectively, in school history. He now has 137 career catches, fifth on the all-time list, and 1,600 receiving yards, good for 14th in the Temple record books. His 13 catches vs. ECU in the season finale ranks second in the TU record books behind only Clint Graves' 15 against Rhode Island in 1972.

Moore, a graduate student studying English/Education, was the consistent anchor on the offensive line, starting every game at left tackle. The Sweden native ended his Temple career against East Carolina, marking his 57th consecutive game. He broke former Owl Delvon Randall's consecutive games played streak of 54 against Houston. Temple allowed only 10 sacks this season, which ranked eighth in the FBS.

Saydee, a redshirt sophomore studying exercise science, was Temple's lead back this season. Against South Florida, he set career highs in multiple rushing and receiving categories including rushing yards (265), longest rush (75), rushing touchdowns (3), receiving yards (69), and longest reception (69). Both the rushing yards and longest rush are the most by a Temple player in a game since Ryquell Armstead in 2018. Overall, his 334 all-purpose yards are the 4th most in a single game in school history. Saydee's rushing total ranks fifth on The American's single-game chart since the conference was established in 2013. The Philadelphia native finished the season with 639 rushing yards and six touchdowns, while adding 262 receiving yards.

Wilson, a sophomore studying communications and social influence, was a productive member of the linebacker room this season. He played in all 12 games, recording 64 tackles, 5.5 TFLs, 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble.
