PHILADELPHIA – Temple Football head coach Stan Drayton named Marvin Clecidor as Safeties Coach.
Clecidor returns to the East Coast after spending the 2020-21 seasons at Western Michigan University as its cornerbacks coach.
"Marvin is an outstanding coach with strong attention to detail who has worked with the entire secondary," said Drayton. "He's a high-energy and very knowledgeable coach who has developed strong, aggressive and smart players, and that's what you need from the safeties in our defense. He has also spent a lot of time coaching in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania and will continue mining those areas for talented student-athletes."
"I'm extremely excited to join Coach Drayton and his staff here at Temple," said Clecidor. "The opportunity to return to the Northeast felt like a homecoming that I couldn't pass up. I look forward to being a part of Owl Nation and the American Athletic Conference."
Clecidor began his coaching career in 2009 when he finished his playing career at Lafayette. He had three coaching stops in New Jersey at Rutgers (2011), Monmouth (2012-14), and Princeton (2017-19), to go along with stints at Wilkes (2009), Wagner (2010), William & Mary (2015-16), and Western Michigan (2020-21).
