CINCINNATI– Damian Dunn returned to the court to lead Temple to a 75-71 win over Cincinnati at Fifth Third Arena Sunday afternoon. Dunn, who scored 15 points, was one of five Owls scoring in double figures as Temple swept the season series against Cincinnati for the first time since the 2015-16 season.

Zach Hicks led the Cherry and White with 16 points and tied Sage Tolbert III for team-high honors with seven rebounds. Hysier Miller added a career-high 13 points while Tai Strickland (11) and Jahlil White (10) rounded out the double-digit Owls.

Temple improves to 15-9 overall and 8-5 in the AAC while Cincinnati falls to 17-10, 7-7 AAC.

Recapping the Game
First Half
> Temple led the entire half, quickly building a double-figure lead on a three-point play by Dunn at the 14:55 mark and maintaining it for the better part of the half.
> The Owls were able to do this by hot shooting from the perimeter, making eight-of-10 from three-point range with Hicks draining four-of-five attempts from distance.
> Hicks and Dunn, making his first appearance since injuring his ankle at the end of the South Florida game, combined for 23 of Temple's 47 first half points.
> Cincinnati cut the Temple deficit to seven points three times, the last at 40-33 with three minutes left in the half.
> The Owls rattled off the final seven of the period, led by two Hicks threes, to take its largest lead, 47-33, into the locker room.

Second Half
> Temple built the lead to a high of 18 points early in the second half and held Cincinnati at bay for the entire game.
> The Bearcats finally cut the deficit to single digits, 64-56, on a basket by Jeremiah Davenport (24 points) with just under six minutes remaining.
> The Owls held off the hard-charging home team, keeping it at least a two-possession game until a Mason Madsen bucket with 0.5 seconds to play.

Statistically Speaking
> Temple's 47 points in the first half were the most of the season and the first time the Owls broke 40 all season.
