Women’s Tennis Welcomes Siena Friday

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's tennis is set to host the Siena Saint's this Friday, Feb. 25 for their third matchup of the season. The match is set for 11 a.m. at the Cherry Hill Racquet Club.

- The Owls have two matches under their belt in 2022, posting an even 1-1 record.
- The Cherry and White picked up their first win of the year in a 7-0 sweep over Saint Francis on Feb. 5, dominating in both singles and doubles play.
- Freshman Veronika Kulhava has started off her college career strong, going 2-0 in singles play this season from the No. 1 and No. 4 spot, while posting an even 1-1 record in doubles play from the No. 1 and No. 2 spot.
- Last year, the Cherry and White posted a 9-2 record, including a perfect 5-0 home performance along with three sweeps.
- The Saint's enter the match with a 2-5 record, earning 5-2 wins over both Saint Francis Brooklyn and Colgate.
- Senior Meagan Brown has started off the season strong, claiming two MAAC Player of the Week honors with her most recent coming after a 1-1 week that included a win over Colgate and a loss to Bucknell.
- Last year, the Saint's went 7-4, clinching the programs second ever MAAC Championship over first seeded Quinnipiac.
- The women advanced to the first round of the NCAA Tournament, falling to No. 11 Florida, 0-4.
