The Owls
- Temple enters the week on a two-match win streak, which included two 7-0 sweeps from the Cherry and White over Saint Francis Brooklyn and Siena.

- Monmouth earned a fifth-place spot in the MAAC preseason poll, falling behind Quinnipiac, Fairfield, Siena, and Marist.
- Last year, the Hawks faced a shortened season much like most teams across the country, only playing in nine total matches. They ended the season with a 3-6 record, picking up wins over LaSalle, Fairfield, and Rider.
- Florida Atlantic enters the match with a 5-6 record, currently on a two-game win streak as they prepare for their Mar. 3 match against South Alabama and Mar. 5 match against Temple.
- Martina Kudelova has shown consistency from the No.1 singles spot this year, going 5-6 in dual matches while Katerina Filip had followed suit from the No. 2 spot with a 6-3 dual match record.
- FAU posted a 10-7 record last year, which included a trip to the Conference USA Championship where they advanced to the semifinals before falling to No. 34 Old Dominion, 4-1.
- Keiser, an NAIA competitor has started off the season unbeaten after earning seven straight wins, four of which were sweeps. The Seahawks look to keep their undefeated streak going, facing off against Lynn and St. Thomas in the days prior to the match against Temple.
- The Seahawks have claimed the No. 1 seed in the Sun Conference and sit at No.2 in the NAIA national rankings after an extremely successful 2020-21 campaign. Keiser posted a 15-2 record which included a National Championship appearance against Georgia Gwinnett for the third year in a row, where they fell 4-2.
- Nicole Coopersmith has proved to be a standout for Keiser, nabbing SUN Player of the Week honors after an undefeated three-match week against Valdosta State, Ave Maria, and Southern Louisiana to improve her individual record to 20-2.
