Lacrosse Falls to No. 5 Syracuse, 22-7

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Temple lacrosse team (7-4) fell to the No. 5 Syracuse Orange (8-2) 22-7 Saturday afternoon. The Owls will be back in action Saturday against Vanderbilt.
Recapping the Game
> Belle Mastropietro scored the first goal of the game.
> Syracuse scored the next six before Mackenzie Roth found Mastropietro to stop the bleeding. The Orange scored the final goal of the first frame (2-7).
> Temple scored two of the first three goals in the second quarter. Riley McGowan and Maeve Tobin found the back of the net for the Cherry and White (4-8).
> Syracuse scored five of the final six goals in the first half. The lone Temple goal came from McGowan. The Orange took a 13-5 lead into the break.
> Syracuse controlled the third quarter, scoring six of the seven goals scored. Abaigeal Ryan netted the line goal for the Owls (19-6).
