Dunn Named to AAC Second Team; Hicks, White Selected AAC All-Freshmen Team

FORTH WORTH, Texas – Redshirt freshman guard Damian Dunn was named American Athletic Conference Second Team All-Conference while freshmen Zach Hicks and Jahlil White were both selected to the AAC All-Freshmen Team. The teams were selected by a vote of the conference's coaches.
Dunn, who was a member of the 2021 AAC All-Freshmen Team, leads Temple in scoring (15.2 ppg/6th AAC), and free throw percentage (121-145, .835/5th) while ranking third in rebounding (4.4 rpg) and steals (24). The Kinston. N.C. native has scored in double figures a team-high 20 games and hit game-winning shots in the final minute at UCF and at home against East Carolina and Cincinnati.
Hicks, who averages 8.1 ppg off the bench, leads the Owls in three-pointers made (59) and has been red-hot of late from deep, making 53 treys over the last 17 games. The Camden, N.J. native set a school-record with 10 three-pointers (16 attempts) in a win over Delaware State while tying the Temple record for points in a game with 35.
White, who has averaged 9.8 ppg since Jan. 1, leads Temple in rebounding (5.8 ppg/t-11th AAC) and steals (32), ranks second in field goal percentage (.427) while averaging 7.5 points and 25.9 minutes per game. He has two double-doubles on the season and leads the squad with five double-figure rebound games.
Fourth-seed Temple (17-11) plays fifth-seed Tulane (13-14) in the 2022 Air Force Reserve American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship Quarterfinal Round on Friday at 3 p.m. ET (ESPN2/1210 AM WPHT) at Dickies Arena.
